Set
As humans have slowly dominated the world of Guyendor so their
religions have spread and diversified. The Eevanarian Empire is the centre
of my campaign world and therefore it's religion has become the most important
to the characters in my games.
This religion is not just restricted to the empire, however, as other
(smaller) countries have developed so their religions are based on this
one. Feth, for instance, hold Bahamat as the only true God, Vispera have
adopted the whole pantheon.
Note Set is included here, although not truly part of this pantheon,
Set is seen as the antipathy of all that this set of Gods stand for, and
is regarded as the one true enemy.
The Gods
| Bahamat |
The King of the Gods has his roots in the platinum dragon (AD&D
Monster Manual) and Paladine from the Dragonlance books. He is the embodiment
of Good in Guyendor and is also the prime object of worship by the Knights
of Feth. |
Tiamat |
Tiamat is Bahamat's Queen. They are often opposed to one another
as she embodies the 'acceptable' evil in the world. As you have probably
guessed her origins are in Tahksis (from Dragonlance) and the chromatic
dragon (AD&D Monster Manual). |
| Nerah |
This Goddess is often considered the most powerful being in existence.
She holds the balance of Guyendor in her hands. |
| Thammut |
God of Knowledge. His wisdom has often diverted disaster from the world.
His followers are often peaceful people such as hermits or monks. |
| Clannu |
War is a terrible necessity, and Clannu governs this aspect of life.
He is one of the War Gods mentioned in the Parma
en Serke |
| Kozi |
The Lord of the Sea, Kozi is a volatile power who is devoutly worshipped
by all sailors. |
| Mafrym |
The God of the Night is the patron of thieves beggars and all those
who practice illegal arts. Mafrym is also sometimes called upon when dealing
with games of chance, although Nerah is the usual choice of hardened gamblers. |
| Mokko |
The Goddess of Love and Beauty is also seen as the author of vanity. |
| Ka |
This is a powerful being commonly seen as the son of Thammut. As a
gift Thammut bestowed power over magic to Ka and he is therefore seen as
the power behind the magehood. |
| Carrin |
Carrin is the only member of this powerful pantheon to belong to the
Druidic
Cult. Carrin's main influence is over the weather, which just goes to reflect
how far humans have come away from the animal kingdom. |
| Teiga |
Teiga is the beloved child of Nerah. Her powers are those of healing
and the dead. It is considered that all the dead first have to travels
to Teiga's Blessed Isle for judgement, and it from here that the other
deities claim their worshippers. |
| Set |
No people of the Empire openly worship this evil God. He is,
however, the patron of the 'ancient' country of Pythonia. Set was the creator
of both demons and devils and is usually considered to be one himself
by many. |
